President’s Message
…it is irrefutable that our organization has matured into a vital player in shaping the profession of audiology.
As I reflect on the accomplishments of MAA over the past 6 months, it is clear to me that the organization continues to serve appropriately our profession and the Department of Defense.
Specialty Recognition
The petitioning group consisting of NHCA, ASHA Special Interest Division #8, Military Audiology Association and Air Force Audiology Association continue to pursue Specialty Recognition in Occupational Audiology.
MAA Fellow
MAA elected Ms. Scherr for Fellow status for her life-long contributions to military audiology.
VA Hearing Aid Initiative
Under the terms of this agreement, audiologists and log techs at WRAMC can electronically order hearing aids and hearing aid batteries via the DDC, using the VA’s Remote Order/Entry System (ROES).
Sound Advise - Sound Ideas!
This is a great way to educate the public about total hearing health care and how we military audiologists are multi-talented!
